Lead Pastry Chef

Job Summary:
We're seeking a skilled and motivated Pastry Chef to join our culinary team at a renowned resort in the Sunshine Coast. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll oversee pastry production across multiple service areas, collaborate on menu development, train and mentor junior staff, and maintain high food safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of pastries, desserts, and baked goods across multiple service areas
- Collaborate on the development of seasonal menus and event-specific offerings
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior pastry staff
- Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and allergen management protocols
- Assist with food cost control and inventory management
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a similar environment
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent trade qualifications
- Strong understanding of food safety requirements, including HACCP and WH&S
- Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills
