The Grove Kitchen + Bar is currently looking for great personalities to join our team.
We are looking for a chef to join our team in Mount Cotton.

We offer excellent working conditions, a supportive team environment and a positive team culture.Duties and responsibilitiesCore responsibilities include, but are not limited to;Setting up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and food scalesStudying each recipe and gathering all necessary ingredientsCooking food on timeDelegate tasks to kitchen staffInform wait staff about daily specialsEnsure appealing plate presentationSupervise Cooks and assist as neededSlightly modify recipes to meet customers' needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)Monitor food stock and place ordersCheck the freshness of food and discard out-of-date itemsExperiment with recipes and suggest new ingredientsEnsure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen areaResponsibilitiesWith minimal supervision, complete delegated catering tasks according to business policies and procedures.Adheres to all standard food preparation procedures and ensures all personal hygiene guidelines are adhered to.Follow the requirements of the Instructions Manual.Adhere to the Injury Risk Management program and guidelines.Able to quickly access and understand the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for every chemical in the food services area and pinpoint the ingredient, safety, PPE required and storage information within the SDS.Demonstrate a commitment to undertaking each task correctly and to your best ability.Requirements and skillsProven work experience as a Chef or Cook.Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grills and pasta makers)Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniquesLeadership skillsAbility to remain calm and undertake various tasksExcellent time management abilitiesUp-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipesFamiliarity with sanitation regulationsCulinary school diploma preferredSchedule:Day shiftAfternoon shiftEvening shiftNight shiftPublic holidaysRotating rosterWeekend availabilitySupplementary Pay:BonusWork Authorisation:Australia (Preferred)Work Location: In personDo you possess the following?
