We are seeking a skilled Trade Surveillance Manager to join our Global Surveillance team in Sydney. As a key member of this team, you will play a vital role in conducting surveillance for potential market manipulation and misconduct.
In this role, you will oversee daily surveillance analysis, conduct deep dive investigations, and regular reviews of non-exchange based on OTC activities. You will also act as an escalation point for junior members of the team, ensuring investigations are adequately documented and followed through to resolution in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading efforts to identify gaps and weaknesses in the current surveillance program
- Contributing to the design, development, and implementation of surveillance solutions
- Assisting with regulatory/exchange requests and investigations
- Conducting trade reconstruction efforts
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- 3+ years experience in commodity and energy OTC markets, with knowledge of the operation and potential for manipulation across business processes, flows, booking methodologies, and client interactions
- Familiarity with trading systems, their data structures, and interfaces
- Strong data manipulation, analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
