We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Nursing and Midwifery Workforce Manager. This role is responsible for coordinating the recruitment of nursing, midwifery and frontline clerical staff, ensuring that contemporary and flexible human resource practices are utilised to maintain an appropriately skilled workforce.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Nursing & Midwifery Services and the Clinical Co-Directors Women's Health and Gynaecological, Midwifery and Neonatology Services in a senior leadership position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit and coordinate the deployment of nursing, midwifery and frontline clerical staff across various locations.
- Maintain accurate records of staffing levels, skills and competencies.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve recruitment and retention rates.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Authority (APHRA).
- Post graduate management qualification or extensive clinical and management experience.
- Demonstrated effective verbal, written communication and sound computer literacy skills including Microsoft Excel and Content Manager applications or willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an autonomous role.
- Demonstrated high level problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of contemporary Human Resource policies and practices and a sound working knowledge of Healthroster, StaffLink and the NSW Recruitment and Onboarding System.
