Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and supporting the day-to-day transport operations for our Logistics Divisions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transport management, with experience in leading national teams and developing asset utilisation strategies. They will also possess excellent leadership skills, commercial acumen, and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management and scheduling of Ensign transport, drivers, subcontractors, and camp assets on a national basis.
  • Development and continuous review of asset utilisation strategy to maximise asset use and value add to the business.
  • Train, develop, coach, and support the Transport team to ensure knowledge and skills are relevant and applicable.
  • Complete and maintain any National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) Administration.
  • Represent the Company in both Government and private Transport related forums and the IADC rig move chapter.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of proven experience managing transport operations in the resources sector or similar heavy industry.
  • Tertiary qualification(s) in Logistics, Transport, or Supply Chain Management or relevant discipline or extensive experience in Transport related positions.
  • Strong safety leadership qualities, commercial acumen, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrate strong relationship building at all levels within the business.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills, highly organised with the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
