About the role

Quarry Mining Haulage is seeking a talented Financial Analyst to join our growing business.

QMH is a multi-faceted operation; with interests in Transport, Extractive Industries and Manufacturing.

QMH is offering a hybrid role - majority of the position can be based from home, but with the requirement of having regular office-based catch ups.

While the role is advertised as full-time, it would suit someone looking to return to work or still studying and work hours are flexible and negotiable.

The role will play a crucial part in supporting the company's financial management and strategic decision-making processes as the business continues to grow.

What you'll be doing:

  • Preparing and analyzing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights that drive business performance

  • Conducting financial modelling and scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of business decisions

  • Supporting the development and implementation of budgeting and planning processes

  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and recommendations

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Developing and Reviewing Cash Flows and Budgets, Financial Targets and Pricing Models.

What we're looking for:

  • Preferrable - A Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

    • The role would suit someone still studying or completing a degree.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial analyst or similar role.

  • Strong understanding and experience using Xero

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable insights

  • Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis using tools such as Excel

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
