Job Description

We are seeking a skilled collections officer to manage accounts, contact customers by phone, and negotiate payment arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts, identifying instances where action is needed and taking appropriate courses of action.
  • Phone customers daily, making proper notes to ensure other users are aware of arrangements.
  • Maintain constant communication with agents regarding accounts they are working on.
  • Take queued calls from customers, remaining logged into the phone queue at all times.
  • Communicate with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Offer tailored solutions to remedy problems with accounts.
  • Process customer requests efficiently and in a timely manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years' experience working in a similar environment, including a demonstrated ability to identify and develop alternative solutions to problems.
  • Experience in a fast-paced Contact Centre environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute day-to-day collections activities.
  • Good administrative experience is desirable.
  • Understanding of regulator and NCCP guidelines.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
