Collection Development Professional

We are seeking a skilled Collection Development Professional to play a key role in the delivery and development of our local studies and family history collection.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and customer-focused library professional to assist in the development and management of our Local Studies and Family History collections, provide training in the Local Studies collection and its services, and contribute to projects relating to the development of the Local Studies Collection.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in the development and management of the Local Studies and Family History collections.
- Provide training in the Local Studies collection and its services.
- Contribute to projects relating to the development of the Local Studies Collection.
To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent, experience in the delivery of local studies and family history library services, and excellent interpersonal skills.
The position is part-time, 26 hours per week, mainly based at Ryde Library but required to also work at all library branch locations. You will need to have a current driver's licence and COVID vaccinations.
