Claims Specialist

Marsh is seeking a Claims Specialist to join their Financial Lines team in Sydney. As a Claims Specialist, you will provide high-level expertise and manage claims under D&O, Professional Indemnity, and other financial lines classes of business to determine coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of SME to Corporate top ASX large clients to build trust, deliver service, and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Participate in internal and external client meetings to foster relationships and drive settlement of claims.
  • Provide high-quality technical advice and support to clients, from preparing the first notification for submission to the insurer through to final settlement.
  • Drive the settlement negotiation process and negotiate on behalf of the client.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of clients, demonstrating value and driving results.

Requirements:

  • At least 1-2 years of insurance claims experience, preferably in financial lines.
  • A Law Degree and experience in the legal environment and/or ANZIIF qualifications will be advantageous.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain and strengthen relationships with clients and insurers and their respective agents and representatives.
  • Good negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen.
  • Good attention to detail and claims analysis.
  • Results-driven attitude and collaborative approach to work.
