**Job Title:** Investment Attraction and Visitation Officer

**Job Description:**

The Investment Attraction and Visitation Officer will play a key role in connecting businesses with the Council, identifying and delivering projects, events, and initiatives that drive economic growth and visitation.

This position aims to enhance activity centres, build strong partnerships with stakeholders, and provide market intelligence to support informed decision-making.

Additionally, the role will contribute to the delivery of Council services, such as the Business Permit Support Service, ensuring a customer-focused approach to business development and investment facilitation.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Connect businesses with the Council

- Identify and deliver projects, events, and initiatives that drive economic growth and visitation

- Enhance activity centres

- Build strong partnerships with stakeholders

- Provide market intelligence to support informed decision-making

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

To be successful in this role, you will bring demonstrated expertise in economic or business development, combined with a solid understanding of the principles of economic growth and the role of government in supporting business and industry.

You will have a strong knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing retailers and key industries, along with the ability to identify emerging trends and translate them into actionable initiatives.
