At Samsung Australia, we are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Product Lead to join our Consumer Electronics division. In this role, you will lead the dedicated Product Management team and be responsible for the category's P&L management.


Role Overview



  • Lead the design and implementation of the TV and Sound Device product strategy for the Australian market.
  • Represent Samsung Australia in the global development division to ensure product roadmaps match local market requirements.
  • Develop strategic marketing plans to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, market share, and corporate objectives for the product category.
  • Work closely with the Director, Audio Visual to develop the vision and strategy for the category group.

Pricing, Promotions, Forecasting



  • Develop optimal integration in pricing and marketing activities and manage marketing funds ensuring optimum utilization and financial control.
  • Manage demand planning to optimally forecast for the Australian market via strong analytical modelling and collaborative planning.
  • Oversee all tactical promotional planning within determined sales deduction budgets.
  • Continuously drive and improve the Product Management team processes and performance.

Sales/Marketing Collaboration and Reporting



  • Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with National Account Managers.
  • Assist the sales team with customer meetings with product strategy, market outlook, and trends.
  • Manage development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programmes.
  • Review analysis of marketing surveys on current and new product concepts.
  • Provide weekly updates on sales status and expectation.
  • Create weekly report for the Senior Management team with market updates, activity overview, and the status of marketing activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications



  • 10+ years of relevant Product Marketing/Management experience.
  • Well-developed leadership experience (prior experience leading and coaching a team of direct reports).
  • Proven ability to achieve budgeted targets and revenue targets.
  • Previous experience in building and maintaining customer satisfaction through the development of broad customer relationships.
  • High level of business acumen with a strong ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, influence, and present to all levels of the business.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to accurately forecast and manage P&L with strong attention to detail.
  • Consultative and influential selling style with an ability to sell technical products.
  • Agile and proactive with great energy and initiatives.
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, and personal sales skills.
  • Intermediate / advanced PC skills using MS Office application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge or experience of SAP system will be highly regarded.

Salary Information


We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. The salary is negotiable and may vary based on individual circumstances.

Working Conditions


The nature of this role and level of responsibility may require reasonable additional hours over and above 37.5 hours per week and may also require work outside of ordinary hours.
