Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Transport Leader to drive our strategic and operational initiatives across Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position that oversees the management of our fleet and assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimizing our Transport Management Systems for visibility and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic and operational transport initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective transport strategies, focusing on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage our fleet and assets, ensuring optimal utilization and minimizing costs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners, fostering audit readiness and driving growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Finance and Business Development to optimize pricing and tenders.
  • Develop and manage budgets, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for transport operations.
  • Identify and implement transport synergies and growth opportunities, championing innovation and best practices.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering talent and succession planning to ensure long-term success.
Requirements
  • 6–10 years' experience in transport operations across Australia and/or New Zealand, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic planning.
  • Strong customer relationship and vendor management skills, with the ability to build and maintain partnerships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Transport, or equivalent experience, with relevant certifications and qualifications.
  • Proficiency in Transport Management Systems (TMS) and logistics software, with knowledge of cold chain logistics and food safety regulations.
