As an Automation Specialist, you will focus on the technical implementation of broadcast graphics solutions. Your role involves designing and developing seamless integrations with newsroom systems, emphasizing building graphics templates, automating workflows, and ensuring smooth integration with on-air platforms.

You will collaborate closely with Editorial, Creative, Operations, and Engineering teams to guarantee proper graphics integration with our broadcast systems. Additionally, you will troubleshoot technical issues, refine automation processes, provide training, and maintain documentation to ensure efficiency and consistency across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop broadcast graphics templates for video wall, full frame, lower third, tickers, and touchscreen graphics, and manage their integration with broadcast automation systems.
  • Support the creation of newsroom rundowns, working with our Editorial and Operational teams to ensure their requirements are met.
  • Reviewing and responding to automation help desk tickets and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Maintain backups of broadcast graphics databases and regularly purge outdated database items.
  • Support the training of staff on automation and newsroom graphics systems, providing troubleshooting advice.
