Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled Broadcast Automation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our automation team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing and maintaining broadcast solutions to improve the quality of our on-air content.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in live television news, designing and developing software-based broadcast solutions. You will work closely with engineering and technical staff to develop innovative solutions to improve the quality of our on-air content.

  • Design, implement and maintain Viz Artist and Viz Mosart templates, processes, and workflows to improve on-air quality
  • Meet the daily automation requirements for multiple channels
  • Automate news and program rundowns for new and existing shows
Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Communicating and collaborating with the editorial, operations and graphics departments to produce high-quality outcomes and meet project deadlines
  • Maintaining in-depth industry knowledge of broadcast automation tools and making recommendations to the Automation Manager on best practice and investment
  • Training editorial and operations staff in automation techniques and overseeing quality control
  • Making recommendations to the Graphics team and other technical teams for streamlining workflows and processes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Wide experience in the implementation of broadcast design solutions
  • Detailed Knowledge of Vizrt Mosart automation systems
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to act quickly and calmly in an on-air emergency
