Public Policy Lead

This role oversees the execution of an integrated policy, political engagement and campaign program in support of a specific asset.
Main Responsibilities
- To develop and execute a public policy and government relations strategy within Queensland, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities across state and national contexts.
- Monitoring and analysing political, policy and regulatory developments to anticipate risk and opportunity, and translate insights into strategic advocacy and campaign planning.
- To build and maintain trusted relationships with political stakeholders, government officials, and policy influencers at state and national levels.
- Representing the company in high-level political and policy forums, advocating for outcomes that support long-term business success and social value creation.
About You
You are a politically astute and policy-minded leader with a proven track record in government relations, advocacy and strategic engagement. You bring deep expertise in navigating complex political and regulatory environments, and understand how to influence outcomes through relationships, evidence and timing.
Key skills include experience in public policy and government relations, leadership roles in public affairs or corporate communications, ability to build strong networks across the business and passion for people leadership and team development.
