Non-Executive Board Member Opportunity

A key role exists for a non-executive board member to contribute to the strategic direction and governance of a leading industry-led organisation.

The successful candidate will possess sound knowledge of the Australian fresh produce and/or wine industry, with expertise in technology, IT strategy and finance being highly regarded. Experience in NFP governance, business management or the government and financial sector is also seen as valuable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the organisational strategic plan.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant statutory laws and regulations.
  • Ensure strong financial management of organisational finances.
  • Support programs through direct involvement, fundraising and ambassadorship.
  • Engage actively in board meetings and online communications.
Selection Criteria:
  • Experience as a director and/or reporting to a board.
  • Sound knowledge of the Australian fresh produce and/or wine industry.
  • Horticulture, viticulture or agriculture production, distribution and/or marketing experience.
  • Quality and food safety systems knowledge in the horticulture, viticulture or agriculture supply chain.
  • Food safety or environmental policy experience.
  • Experience in governance and financial management.
  • Networks useful to the growth and development of the organisation.
