About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Attendant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our passengers on board our long-distance train services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver world-class customer service to passengers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Manage the storage, preparation, and cooking of food and beverage items, ensuring high standards of food hygiene and safety.
  • Assist with general cleaning duties, including ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the train and its facilities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of passengers by reporting any operational issues or concerns.
  • Handle cash and EFTPOS transactions, maintaining accurate records and adhering to company policies.
  • Prepare and load food and beverage items onto the train, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Perform storeperson duties, including receiving and processing stock, managing inventory, and completing required documentation.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in the tourism, transport, or hospitality industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality service to passengers.
  • Ability to think on your feet and respond to unexpected situations, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Sound cash management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A safety-conscious attitude, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
