Senior Civil Drafter, Water Pipelines Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Drafter to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our Water team, you will contribute to significant water infrastructure projects via our strong partnerships with water authorities.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for using 2D and 3D computer-aided design applications to develop and record designs as models and drawings. You will evaluate design intent provided by professional engineers and translate that into the model or drawing.
Additionally, you will assist in the design of larger and more complex assignments that involve conventional plans, investigations, and surveys. Primarily, this is for infrastructure, water and wastewater treatment, stormwater and drainage, pumping, piping and pipelines, chemical storage and dosing, minor structural and civil elements.
Requirements- Associate degree, Diploma, Associate Diploma of Design or Engineering or similar para-professional level qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Previous consulting/design/technical experience on water infrastructure and linear pipeline design as a designer.
- Extensive experience in the practice of the drafting and design in the general mechanical / process engineering sector using various software, preferably AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated understanding of local industry standards and market sector.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
