We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Drafter, Water Pipelines Specialist to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our Water team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to significant water infrastructure projects via our strong partnerships with water authorities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and record designs as models and drawings using 2D and 3D computer aided design applications.
- Evaluate design intent provided by professional engineers and translate that into the model or drawing.
- Assist in the design of larger and more complex assignments that involve conventional plans, investigations, and surveys.
- Primarily work on infrastructure, water and wastewater treatment, stormwater and drainage, pumping, piping and pipelines, chemical storage and dosing, minor structural and civil elements.
- Associate degree, Diploma, Associate Diploma of Design or Engineering or similar para-professional level qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Previous consulting/design/technical experience on water infrastructure and linear pipeline design as a designer.
- Extensive experience in the practice of the drafting and design in the general mechanical / process engineering sector using various software, preferably AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated understanding of local industry standards and market sector.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
