We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Drafter to join our team in Melbourne, working on significant water infrastructure projects. As a key member of our Water team, you will contribute to complex infrastructure projects through our strong partnerships with water authorities.
Our team is delivering major capital projects to South East Water's record $1.5 billion investment as part of a new industry partnership between Abergeldie, BMD & KBR (ABK). The 10-year contract will see ABK plan and deliver major infrastructure upgrades in partnership with Southeast Water as part of a new integrated capital works planning and delivery model.
Responsibilities:- Develop and record designs as models and drawings using 2D and 3D computer aided design applications.
- Evaluate design intent provided by professional engineers and translate that into the model or drawing.
- Assist in the design of larger and more complex assignments that involve conventional plans, investigations, and surveys.
- Associate degree, Diploma, Associate Diploma of Design or Engineering or similar para-professional level qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Previous consulting/design/technical experience on water infrastructure and linear pipeline design as a designer.
- Extensive experience in the practice of the drafting and design in the general mechanical / process engineering sector using various software, preferably AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated understanding of local industry standards and market sector.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
