Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Kitchen Operations Manager to join our team at Pier One Sydney Harbour, a five-star hotel located under the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge.


Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with Food & Beverage policies, standards, and procedures. They will also estimate daily production needs, communicate production needs to kitchen personnel, and assist the Head and Sous Chef with all kitchen operations and preparation.


Some of the key responsibilities include:



  • Managing kitchen operations and ensuring compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Estimating daily production needs on a weekly basis and communicating production needs to kitchen personnel daily.
  • Assisting Head and Sous Chef with all kitchen operations and preparation.
  • Preparing and cooking dishes, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.
  • Developing, designing, or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions.
  • Assisting in determining how food should be presented and creating decorative food displays.
  • Maintaining purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards.
  • Training employees in safety procedures.
