Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Financial Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our commercial function. This role will involve implementing our commercial and financial strategy and direction, as provided by the Director of MAX Learning.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting for our organisation
  2. Preparation of end-of-month financial reports across our separate entities
  3. Attending and contributing to weekly revenue driver meetings to discuss business performance
  4. Facilitating and overseeing training budgets and projections
  5. Managing international student plans and balancing the Fee for Service Account
  6. Setting up payment plans for fee-paying students
  7. Producing domestic and international broker reports
  8. Internal and external reporting, including trainer assessment reports
  9. Conducting internal reporting and scenario analysis as required
  10. Working alongside operations staff to review and approve RTO spend
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management – Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred
  • Demonstrated experience as a Finance Manager or Finance Business Partner, or proven experience in commercial accounting roles, ideally within an RTO environment
  • Business management experience, including strategic financial management, preferably within an educational setting
  • Excellent communication skills to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strategic planning, resource coordination, and business analysis experience
  • Advanced analytical capability and ability to apply strategic thinking to financial reporting and analysis
  • Strong business acumen, with experience in planning, implementing, and managing effective organisation-wide processes, and demonstrated success in influencing business decisions
  • Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of Xero and Dynamics 365 (D365) software
  • Ability to obtain a current Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
