We are seeking a Technical Director to lead the delivery of software upgrades for aircraft mission systems, ground support, and training systems. This role involves overseeing engineering development activities to upgrade and sustain capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, technical management, and planning across the full software lifecycle.
  • Manage deliverables, reporting, and ownership of the software build roadmap.
  • Lead change integration across teams and assess impact within Software Services.
  • Ensure quality assurance of engineering outputs and resolve non-conformances and defects.
Requirements
  • Qualifications in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • Familiarity with engineering processes and approaches to deliver weapon system software upgrades.
  • Demonstratable experience in delivering projects in complex business environments, preferably with direct experience of software projects.
  • Australian citizenship is required to meet defence security requirements.
