Logistics and Procurement Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics and Procurement Specialist to join our Supply Chain team at WestRock Company. As a key contact for inbound and outbound international exports, you will be responsible for managing external 3PL warehouses in ANZ and acting as a key supply chain contact and purchasing officer for our logistics and warehousing needs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage import/export operations, including tracking containers, lead times, and liaising with external warehouse suppliers.
  2. Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with delays or early deliveries.
  3. Oversee external warehouse management, including monthly reconciliation and stock accuracy tracking.
  4. Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
  5. Coordinate stock takes with external warehouses as required.
  6. Manage supplier relationships for logistics and warehousing services.
  7. Lead supplier reviews and track supplier metrics to maintain a green scorecard.
  8. Consult with the Warehouse team on outbound logistics updates.
  9. Procure indirect goods, analyze spend, and implement cost-reduction initiatives.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in purchasing and/or 3PL management.
  2. Experience in customer or supplier-facing roles.
  3. Proficiency in ERP systems.
  4. Strong Excel and analytical skills.
  5. Excellent time management in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Formal logistics or purchasing qualifications highly regarded.
  7. Continuous Improvement and project management experience highly valued.
