Logistics and Procurement Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics and Procurement Specialist to join our Supply Chain team at WestRock Company. As a key contact for inbound and outbound international exports, you will be responsible for managing external 3PL warehouses in ANZ and acting as a key supply chain contact and purchasing officer for our logistics and warehousing needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage import/export operations, including tracking containers, lead times, and liaising with external warehouse suppliers.
- Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with delays or early deliveries.
- Oversee external warehouse management, including monthly reconciliation and stock accuracy tracking.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Coordinate stock takes with external warehouses as required.
- Manage supplier relationships for logistics and warehousing services.
- Lead supplier reviews and track supplier metrics to maintain a green scorecard.
- Consult with the Warehouse team on outbound logistics updates.
- Procure indirect goods, analyze spend, and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in purchasing and/or 3PL management.
- Experience in customer or supplier-facing roles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Excellent time management in a fast-paced environment.
- Formal logistics or purchasing qualifications highly regarded.
- Continuous Improvement and project management experience highly valued.
