Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Category Procurement Specialist to join our team at WesTrac. As a Category Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in implementing key strategies and driving performance within our MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) Category.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category strategies to drive performance and achieve commercial outcomes
  • Manage and optimize procurement processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate commercial risk
  • Provide expert advice on procurement and contracting concepts to stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Category Management or relevant discipline
  • Significant post-qualification experience in procurement, contracts, and compliance environments
  • Proven understanding of advanced contracting and sourcing concepts
  • High attention to detail and ability to analyze problems and provide solutions
  • Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
  • Previous exposure to SAP ARIBA or similar ERP system
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
