Senior Employment Law Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Associate to join our Brisbane workplace relations team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in contentious and non-contentious employment law, with expertise in managing client matters and delivering expert advice across various sectors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely and commercially focused legal advice to clients.
  • Manage client matters efficiently, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Regularly review applicable case law and legislative changes to maintain expertise.
  • Conduct effective legal research and analysis to produce accurate advice.
  • Oversee a robust workload, prioritizing tasks and delivering services effectively.
  • Develop an understanding of client operations and strategy.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development and comply with CLE requirements.

A successful candidate will be supported by our close-knit team, requiring self-motivation, energy, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Ideal Background and Skills:

  • Significant experience in industrial relations practice and management.
  • A minimum of 4+ years' PQE with a background in employment law.
  • Previous exposure to Business Development and strong client relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage client expectations and run matters autonomously.
  • Long-term career aspirations with a forward-thinking organization.
  • Strong communication style and ability to relate to people at all levels.
  • Commercial acumen and practical problem-solving skills.
