The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Mental Health Peer Practitioner to join our Safe Haven team. As a Mental Health Peer Practitioner, you will work collaboratively with our team and draw from a strengths-based recovery-oriented service of care. You will act as a role model towards recovery for people experiencing mental illness, utilizing your personal experience of mental illness to engage with clients.
- Work collaboratively with the Safe Haven team to provide holistic care to individuals experiencing mental illness.

- Act as a role model towards recovery for people experiencing mental illness, utilizing your personal experience of mental illness to engage with clients.
- Collaborate with the Safe Haven team to deliver high-quality care to clients.
- Utilize your personal experience of mental illness to provide empathetic and non-judgmental support to clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Has experienced mental illness and has demonstrable experience of recovery.
- Previous work experience in administrative roles and using databases and computer systems.
- Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment.
- Drivers Licence.
- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC).
- Knowledge and experience in using the Microsoft Suite of software and databases.
- Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or currently completing or a willingness to complete.
