The role of an Occupational Therapist is multifaceted, involving assessment, management and intervention to help individuals with cognitive, physical or psychosocial disabilities achieve their goals and participate in daily activities.
This requires evidence-based approaches tailored to the individual's needs.
About the OrganisationOur client operates as a leading allied health and support coordination organisation in Queensland. They have extensive experience across various disciplines.
Key Responsibilities- Provide person-centred assessment and intervention to NDIS participants
- Represent the organisation at meetings concerning Occupational Therapy matters
- Manage a caseload of NDIS participants with complex needs and functional limitations
- Assess equipment needs for daily activities
- Implement a range of intervention strategies addressing activities of daily living, functional performance, motor skills, sensory processing and behavioural competencies
- Hold a bachelor's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Ability to interact effectively with participants, families and service providers
- Knowledge of relevant legislation
- Current WWCC (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid & CPR certifications
- Valid Australian driver's license
