About the Role

As a Turf Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of contract managers, providing guidance and support to ensure clients' needs are met efficiently and effectively.

The role involves overseeing planning and scheduling of turf maintenance activities, by client specifications and seasonal requirements. Conducting site assessments to identify turf maintenance needs, develop work plans, and estimate resource requirements is also key to this position.

You will coordinate with clients to understand their preferences, address concerns, and provide recommendations for enhancing the health and appearance of their turf areas.

In addition, you will manage the tools, equipment, and supplies inventory, ensuring availability and proper maintenance to support operational activities.

Implementing and enforcing safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members is crucial in this role.

Making sure that the performance of contract managers and their teams is monitored and evaluated, providing feedback and development opportunities to enhance their skills and efficiency is an important task in this job.

This role also involves managing the commencement of new contracts, ensuring all operational plans, resource allocations, and client communications are in place for a smooth start.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III Sport Turf Management
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with demonstrated ability to motivate and develop team members
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Valid White Card
  • Valid Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
  • Valid Driver's License
