Regional Wellbeing Consultant

This is a mid-senior level, full-time consulting role.

The successful candidate will work closely with school leadership teams to identify and address staff wellbeing needs.

  • They will contribute to initiatives that promote health and wellbeing, while providing practical advice and support in response to challenging situations.
  • A key focus will be on psychosocial wellbeing, including supporting school leaders as part of a multi-disciplinary team to manage issues related to occupational violence and aggression.
  • They will foster safe and supportive school environments, ensuring staff feel valued and equipped to thrive.

About The Role:

This role involves leading the regional coordination, promotion and implementation of health and wellbeing initiatives.

The successful candidate will liaise and collaborate with schools and regional teams to provide expert advice on staff wellbeing planning, initiatives and supporting resources.

They will provide regular reports to the Regional Office and Staff Wellbeing team on regional and school progress with respect to addressing and supporting the wellbeing of staff.

Additionally, they will deliver engaging wellbeing presentations and workshops on staff wellbeing as required at conferences and forums to assist in developing staff capability.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Progressing staff wellbeing through the region by consulting with key regional staff and providing expert advice to school based and regional staff in relation to staff wellbeing.
  2. Leading the regional coordination, promotion and implementation of health and wellbeing initiatives.
  3. Liaising and collaborating with schools and regional teams to provide expert advice on staff wellbeing planning, initiatives and supporting resources.
  4. Providing regular reports to the Regional Office and Staff Wellbeing team on regional and school progress with respect to addressing and supporting the wellbeing of staff.
  5. Delivering engaging wellbeing presentations and workshops on staff wellbeing as required at conferences and forums to assist in developing staff capability.
  6. Establishing networks, collaborating and liaising with key stakeholders across the department and from other agencies and organisations to successfully implement health and wellbeing initiatives throughout schools in the region.
  7. Representing the department in a variety of forums on issues relating to departmental health and wellbeing activities and initiatives.
