We are seeking an experienced and passionate professional to join our team as a Climate Resilient Islands Country Support Coordinator.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to strengthen resilience to the impacts of climate change through nature-based solutions.
As part of our country support team, you will be responsible for overseeing programme implementation, building relationships, and working closely with teams and communities across the Pacific to improve climate resilience.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting work packages through program management systems in line with the inception/project design document report and all revisions to the program design.
- Actively tracking and documenting activity progress through program management systems tools and reports from country teams to provide quality quarterly and annual reports to donors.
- Ensuring that live and learn approaches and tools are embedded into implementation approaches.
- Managing the coordination of allocated in-country activities and operations relating to the CRI programme.
- Supporting partnership arrangements with local live and learn offices, including escalation of risks and emerging issues as necessary.
- Supporting advisors for technical research/support/advice on nature-based solutions, indigenous knowledge, climate resilience, and related fields aligned to the programme.
- An ability to work flexibly and autonomously while working in an international team.

- Enjoyment of working closely with people from differing and diverse backgrounds.
- Experience working in the Pacific, with indigenous peoples or within a development context.

- An ability to travel extensively to the Pacific and learn from and support our teams and communities.
- Salary Range: AUD 77,000 - AUD 87,000 (excl. superannuation).
- Flexible working hours and locations, with the option to work from home 2-3 days per week.
