About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Nursing Director to lead our Specialty Services, including Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Cardiac Services, and Maternity. As a strategic leader, you will oversee workforce planning, attract, retain, develop, and grow quality nursing services committed to high standards and excellence in patient care outcomes.

This role requires strong business acumen, with proven experience as a strategic leader, including driving strategic initiatives to achieve organisational goals and objectives. You will be accountable for driving clinical improvements, clinical governance & safety best practices, budgetary & fiscal management, while implementing strategic initiatives that drive growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead our Specialty services, including ICU, Cardiac Services, and Maternity
  • Manage a team of 6 direct reports and foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration
  • Oversee workforce planning to attract, retain, develop, and grow quality nursing services
  • Drive clinical improvements, clinical governance & safety best practices, budgetary & fiscal management
  • Implement strategic initiatives that drive growth and excellence
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership or executive nursing role within a hospital setting
  • Strong business acumen with proven experience as a strategic leader
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Current AHPRA registration and appropriate tertiary post-graduate qualifications, preferably at the Master's degree level
