Transport Team Leader Opportunity

Lead a dynamic delivery team and contribute to the success of our logistics operations.

As a Transport Team Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods across various locations. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and manage resources effectively.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in transport or logistics and a proven track record in leading teams or managing large-scale projects. Additionally, a safety-first mindset with strong manual handling awareness is essential for this role.

A competitive base salary, plus superannuation, is offered for this full-time position. Early starts may be required, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example to ensure a safe, compliant and customer-focused transport team
  • Plan and coordinate daily and next-day deliveries to achieve DIFOT (Delivered in Full, On Time) targets
  • Oversee vehicle loading accuracy, load restraint, and Chain of Responsibility compliance
  • Liaise with contractors and report operational issues to the Transport Manager
  • Support scheduling, workforce planning and delivery operations—including Saturdays as required
  • Ensure vehicles, docks, and yard areas are kept safe, clean and compliant
  • Provide coaching, feedback and support to your team to lift performance
  • Contribute to cost efficiency improvements and reduced property/customer damages

Qualifications: 3+ years' experience in transport or logistics; 1–2 years in a leadership or team leader role preferred but not essential. Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management, and WHS requirements is necessary. Customer-focused, solutions-oriented and highly organized individuals are encouraged to apply.
