Job Title: Team Leader - Logistics Operations

We are seeking an experienced logistics professional to lead our warehouse and transport team in Port Macquarie. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods from our warehouse to customers' doorsteps.

  • Safety First: Lead by example to ensure a safe, compliant, and customer-focused transport team.
  • Deliver Results: Plan and coordinate daily and next-day deliveries to achieve DIFOT (Delivered in Full, On Time) targets.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee vehicle loading accuracy, load restraint, and Chain of Responsibility compliance.
  • Collaborate with Contractors: Liaise with contractors and report operational issues to the Transport Manager.
  • Support Scheduling: Support scheduling, workforce planning, and delivery operations—including Saturdays as required.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Ensure vehicles, docks, and yard areas are kept safe, clean, and compliant.
  • Develop Your Team: Provide coaching, feedback, and support to your team to lift performance.
  • Contribute to Cost Efficiency: Contribute to cost efficiency improvements and reduced property/customer damages.

About You

  • Leadership Experience: 3+ years' experience in logistics or supply chain management, with 1–2 years in a leadership or team leader role (preferred but not essential).
  • Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management, and WHS requirements.
  • Customer Focus: Customer-focused, solutions-oriented, and highly organised.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
