We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Disaster Mitigation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of projects that mitigate disaster risk in NSW communities.

In this role, you will:

  • ">
  • Support project governance to ensure effective coordination of portfolio reporting, including budgets, schedules, risks, and timelines.">
  • Establish strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication and project working groups.">
  • Participate in project delivery activities such as workshops and presentations to deliver accurate project communications.">
  • Provide regular project status updates in line with the Divisional program governance framework and the Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) framework.">

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • ">
  • Demonstrated understanding of issues related to disaster risk and policy development.">
  • Experience in undertaking research and analysis and/or supporting development of projects, policies, strategies, or guidelines related to nature-based measures.">
  • Experience with project and/or program management processes and tools.">
  • Experience in government and an understanding of policy and legislation is advantageous.">
