The NSW Reconstruction Authority is seeking a highly skilled Disaster Mitigation Specialist to lead the implementation of policy initiatives and reforms driven by data on disaster risk.
About the Role
- Lead the development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and review of the NSW State Disaster Mitigation Plan and associated frameworks, policies, and tools.
- Provide expert advice and information to inform critical infrastructure resilience planning.
- Develop strategies to monitor and evaluate policy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the NSW State Disaster Mitigation Plan in conjunction with agency objectives and government commitments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for mitigating disaster risks.
- Assess and mitigate potential hazards and vulnerabilities.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as emergency management, disaster response, or environmental science.
