Clinical Lead - Child Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Lead to join our Community Child & Youth Mental Health Services team. As a Clinical Lead, you will provide expert clinical and operational leadership to the community team, combining clinical excellence, team leadership, and strategic service development.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Nursing, with current AHPRA registration. They will also possess demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in the clinical assessment, formulation, and treatment of infant, child, and adolescent mental health problems and family relationship problems through evidenced-based individual, group, and parent-focused therapies.

Key responsibilities include leading and coordinating the CYMHS community team, providing expert clinical advice and support to multidisciplinary staff in ED and community, collaborating with the CYMHS Service Manager on service planning and strategic direction, and ensuring high standards of clinical governance, documentation, and quality improvement.

Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Nursing with current AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in the clinical assessment, formulation, and treatment of infant, child, and adolescent mental health problems and family relationship problems
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the learning capacity of the team and quality improvement

Location

Royal North Shore or Hornsby Hospital
