Financial Services Professional

We are seeking an experienced Financial Services Professional to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements, supporting compliance obligations, and reconciling accounts.

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Support the preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS), Income Tax Assessments (IAS), Payroll Tax, and other compliance obligations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations.

  • Reconcile bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.

About You:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role, with a strong background in financial services.

  • Qualifications in bookkeeping or accounting, such as a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Bachelor of Accounting degree.

  • Proficiency in Xero and MYOB AccountRight, with advanced skills in data analysis and reporting.

  • Payroll processing experience, with a solid understanding of employment laws and regulations.

  • A working knowledge of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Australian tax laws.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent client service and communication abilities, with a customer-centric approach.
