About the Role
  • This position is designed to enhance the expertise of surgical registrars and resident medical officers, with a focus on orthopaedic trauma and reconstructive surgery.
  • You will work closely with supervisors to establish and participate in educational sessions, clinics, and x-ray meetings for trainees and unaccredited registrars.
  • The successful applicant will be expected to maintain accurate records, participate in quality assurance activities, and contribute to research projects in the orthopaedic department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert tuition in total hip replacement, revision hip replacement, hip arthroscopy, total knee replacement, revision knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, and general orthopaedic trauma.
  • Establish and participate in suitable consultations with supervisors and attend clinics, x-ray meetings, and educational sessions for AOA set trainees and unaccredited orthopaedic registrars.
  • Attend and participate in quarterly audits, journal clubs, and research projects in the orthopaedic department.
