Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Contract Negotiation Specialist to oversee the lifecycle of commercial contracts, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate and draft legal terms ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract law and commercial terms, with excellent written, negotiation, and communication skills.

About This Role

This is a key position within our organisation, responsible for managing multiple contracts and projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will be able to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts, ensuring all contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and reviewing legal terms, negotiating and executing commercial contracts.
  • Leading negotiations with clients, suppliers, and partners to secure favourable terms and conditions.
  • Ensuring all contracts are compliant with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts and related documents.
  • Monitoring contract performance and addressing any issues or disputes that arise.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma in Business Administration, Legal Services, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a paralegal role or within the legal department of a commercial multinational organisation in Australia.
  • Experience with engaging stakeholders, negotiating legal terms, and drafting terms into legal agreements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, negotiation, and communication skills.
