Airtree Ventures is a leading Venture Capital fund focused on the Australian and New Zealand markets. With a growing portfolio of innovative tech businesses, we're seeking an experienced DATA INNOVATION STRATEGIST to join our team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to take our data infrastructure to the next level, enhancing processes through data and automation. You'll work closely with investment, fund strategy, investor relations, and finance teams to optimise and scale our existing data systems, driving data-informed decision making across our venture capital operations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Enhancing and maintaining our Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring it continues to meet our growing data needs efficiently.
  • Refining and expanding our ETL/ELT pipelines built with dbt and AWS lambda functions, focusing on improving performance, reliability, and extensibility.
  • Collaborating with investment partners and managers to evolve our data-driven tools, continuously improving our ability to surface promising investment opportunities.

We're looking for a talented individual with proficient programming skills, particularly in Python, and advanced SQL knowledge (or a demonstrated ability to pick up new programming languages quickly). If you have experience with Snowflake, dbt, and AWS Lambda, that's a plus Our ideal candidate is passionate about solving problems in elegant and efficient ways, thriving in fast-paced environments, and curious about 'why' things work the way they do.

A competitive salary range for this role is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
