About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Engagement Officer to join our team at Standards Australia Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting the Engagement Manager and identifying internationally aligned standards development opportunities that benefit the Australian community.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, including industry experts, government agencies, and community groups. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with these stakeholders, as well as providing insights and recommendations to support the development of national and international standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist stakeholders in understanding and participating in the standards development process
  • Develop project proposals for national and international standards development work
  • Establish, build, maintain, and manage new relationships with stakeholders within defined areas of activity
  • Deliver insights and reports to the business on areas of opportunity in existing or new areas of standards development activity
  • Proactively work with stakeholders to maintain the existing catalogue of standards and other publications within a defined area of responsibility
  • Support standards development activities in close collaboration with Program Managers and Project Managers
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong background in stakeholder engagement, policy, or government. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a team environment.

Experience in the Electricity or Gas sectors is desirable, but not essential. You will be required to have a strong understanding of the Australian standards development process and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve common goals.
