Academic Coordinator Position

Our organization seeks a highly experienced and accomplished Academic Coordinator to lead the academic team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high-quality teaching and learning across undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Early Childhood Education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching Delivery & Quality:
    • Oversight of subject delivery and consistency of learning materials
    • Maintenance of quality teaching resources via Learning Management System (LMS)
    • Support of academic staff performance and coordination of teaching quality
    • Conduct of allocated teaching, assessment, and student consultations
    • Monitoring of course quality and implementation of continuous improvements
  • Academic Oversight & Compliance:
    • Management of academic integrity, moderation, and professional development processes
    • Ensure compliance with academic policies and regulatory standards
    • Support recruitment and allocation of academic staff
    • Tracking of student performance and support for students at risk
  • Course Development & Accreditation:
    • Oversight of resource development and alignment with course requirements
    • Maintenance of currency and relevance of course content for all delivery modes
  • Leadership & Team Development:
    • Leadership and support of academic staff onboarding, training, and performance
    • Fostering of positive, high-performing team culture aligned with EDU values
    • Provision of mentoring, management of peer reviews, and contribution to governance reporting
  • Industry & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Building relationships with industry and professional bodies
    • Support of placement partnerships and student career outcomes

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated experience managing a team, IT literacy, and knowledge of contemporary developments in Early Childhood Education.
