The role involves developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions that meet their specifications. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge and sales expertise to effectively promote and sell building products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Develop and nurture relationships with architects, designers, and other specification professionals to understand their needs and influence product specifications.
  • Product Promotion: Present and demonstrate building products to potential clients, highlighting features, benefits, and applications.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and opportunities within the building products sector.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support to clients, addressing queries and ensuring that product solutions meet project requirements.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and drive growth within the specified territory.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver proposals, bids, and presentations tailored to client specifications and project needs.
  • Project Tracking: Monitor and manage the progress of projects from specification through to final sale, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Feedback Loop: Gather feedback from clients and market insights to inform product development and improve service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in sales within the building products or construction industry, with a strong understanding of architectural specifications and building products.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of building products, their applications, and industry standards.
  • Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies and achieve targets.
  • Market Awareness: Insight into current market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the building products sector.
