Adolescent Healthcare Specialist

As a specialist in adolescent healthcare, the successful candidate will provide high-quality clinical care to adolescents with a focus on person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver exceptional clinical care across Adolescent Medicine Outpatient Services, including Eating Disorders, Gender Diversity, Adolescent Transition, and Complex Medical Clinics.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic interventions and support programs for young people and their families.
- Lead and support clinical education by mentoring junior staff, facilitating student learning, and contributing to a positive team culture.
- Drive service improvement through research, clinical audits, and the development of protocols.
The ideal candidate will hold a current practicing certificate as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. They should possess strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
A minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience in adolescent healthcare is required, along with demonstrated competence in this area. The candidate should also be able to mentor junior staff and support student learning within a multidisciplinary team.
Sound knowledge of healthcare legislation, quality improvement systems, and current clinical best practices is essential.
