As an injury management & workers compensation specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring effective management of claims and workers compensation systems. You will help us further develop our injury management and rehabilitation systems, strategy, and practices across operations.
We serve over 24,000 customers in meeting their sustainability goals through comprehensive waste collection, treatment, resource recovery, and management solutions.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Review and reinforce policies and procedures to support injury management and rehabilitation.
- Develop and implement injury management strategy to achieve objectives and targets.
- Engage with stakeholders on matters relating to injury management, claim management, workers compensation, and rehabilitation.
- Assist managers and RTW Coordinators with injury management, including return-to-work plans.
- Coordinate RTW programs and provide professional advice regarding individual cases.
- Play a lead role in all workers compensation cases, including dispute management, legal liaison, and cost containment.
- Establish strong working relationships with insurers, brokers, and rehabilitation providers.
- Prepare and analyse WC trends and develop strategy to improve performance.
- Monitor and report critical WC and Injury Management trends.
- Support mental health and wellness initiatives.
**Requirements:
- Previous experience developing and managing worker's compensation and injury management system.
- Exposure to conventional and non-conventional worker's compensation schemes.
- Hold tertiary qualification in physiotherapy, ergonomics, occupational rehabilitation, WHS, or relevant area.
- Completed RTW accreditation.
- Stakeholder management experience.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and reporting abilities, coupled with communication, negotiation, and influential skills.
