Job Overview

Mercure Darwin Airport Resort & Novotel Darwin Airport Hotel is strategically located adjacent to the airport and merely a 15-minute drive from the vibrant Darwin CBD, providing an ideal setting for both business and leisure travelers. The major redevelopment aims to enhance the guest experience with the introduction of a brand new lagoon pool and a poolside restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • To plan and execute preventative maintenance throughout the Hotel ensuring superior standards are maintained for a positive guest experience.
  • To ensure all team members are proficient in the safe and effective use of equipment and chemicals as per the manufacturer's guidelines.
  • To collaborate with the General Manager and Financial Controller regarding the engagement of contractors within the Hotel, controlling expenditure and ensuring work meets the required company standards and manufacturer specifications.
Essential Qualifications
  • A trade qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering would be advantageous.
  • A minimum of two years' relevant experience managing a maintenance function within a large multi-storey complex.
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Property Management System.
