Job Title: Operations Manager

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the efficient day-to-day operations of our production and warehousing activities.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely, while also maintaining high-quality production and compliance with regulatory standards.

About the Role
  • Manage Production Operations:
  • Oversee the hands-on production of liquid fertilizers
  • Operate and maintain production machinery

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise casual production and warehouse staff
  2. Oversee receiving, storing, dispatching, and inventory control
  3. Ensure compliance with AQIS and Biosecurity guidelines
  4. Accurate Pick and Pack of Customer orders
  5. Decanting of liquid goods into various pack sizes
  6. Maintain FIFO stock layout and warehouse efficiency
  7. Support quality control and regulatory compliance
  8. Handle dangerous goods and chemical storage safely
  9. Quality control
  10. Packaging and Labelling
  11. Cleaning and Maintenance
  12. Liaise with suppliers and customers when required
  13. Shipping and Despatch of goods
  14. Safety and Compliance
  15. ERP system updates as required
  16. Support in maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements
  17. Basic machinery maintenance (no experience necessary)
  18. Any other tasks as required and appropriate for the role
Requirements
  • Physically fit and capable of safely lifting up to 25kg
  • Forklift license and unrestricted driver's license
  • Experience in warehousing, inventory, and production
  • Experience handling bulk liquids with pumps and hoses
  • Knowledge of Work Health Safety practices and manual handling
  • Familiarity with chemical handling and Safety Data Sheets
  • Able to understand and use Standard Operating Procedures
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office)
  • AQIS Quarantine Approved Premises certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Confined space certificate (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams
