Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled HSEQ Professional to lead safety initiatives and support project delivery across various infrastructure and renewable energy projects in Victoria.

About the Role:

  • Lead safety management throughout the entire project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Foster a strong safety culture across diverse project environments, driving best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Influence project outcomes through proactive safety leadership, advising teams on safety procedures and risk assessments.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, providing expert guidance on safety compliance and procedures.
  • Spearhead the development of safety systems and initiatives, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Investigate incidents, leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Support the return-to-work process for injured workers, ensuring seamless transition back to work.
  • Deliver safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks, maintaining accurate records and contributing to reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and team members, to integrate safety into project planning and execution.

Your Background:

  • Demonstrate formal qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety (Diploma or Bachelor's Degree), with extensive knowledge of OHS legislation, codes of practice, and major project requirements.
  • Possess over 5 years' experience in an Advisor/Senior role supporting health and safety matters within the construction industry, preferably delivering large-scale infrastructure or renewables projects.
  • Exhibit technical expertise in safety for the renewables sector (wind, solar, hydro, battery, transmission).
  • Display exceptional communication skills, ability to engage and influence teams, and willingness to travel to multiple project sites.
