Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary contact for implementing EHS programs at specific Microsoft Data Centers within the region.

- Be accountable for EHS performance metrics and the implementation of annual improvement plans.

- Periodically inspect, audit, and review safe work practices to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.

- Conduct workplace risk and exposure assessments for various hazards.

- Support incident investigations and root cause analyses to identify, communicate, and implement corrective and preventive actions globally.

- Conduct and deliver regulatory training programs to meet EHS requirements.

- Embody our culture and values.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field AND 4+ years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety with worldwide regulations

- OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field AND 8+ years of EHS experience with worldwide regulations

- OR Master's Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field AND 6+ years of EHS experience

- OR equivalent experience.

Background Check Requirements

Applicants must meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including:

- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: required upon hire/transfer and every two years.

- Citizenship Verification: Australian citizenship verification to meet federal security requirements.

- NV1/2, PV Clearance Assessment: may require an enhanced background check through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
